Discouragement is of the devil!

Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.  How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!  Psalm 47:1-2

Hannah Whitall Smith quotes an old Quaker as saying, “All discouragement is from the devil.”  Is it true?  I think so!  Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).  All things are in His hands.  He hears our earnest prayers.  He loves us as we are and in spite of our weaknesses, failures, and sins.  His love is unconditional!  His power is limited only by human choice, but ultimately will prevail.  His grace is infinite!  He cares for me, and you.

Yes, let us clap our hands in joy to God, for today Jesus stands beside us as our Advocate.
